Paul Convery (President) – BT (Northern Ireland)
Paul Convery is currently Head of BT Business in Northern Ireland, responsible for the management of BT’s Private Sector business. Prior to joining BT Paul worked in the US and UK and holds a degree in Economics from Queens University and MA Masters in Marketing from the University of Ulster. Paul has a long involvement in Ulster Basketball and is the founding member, secretary and head coach of the Poyntzpass Pumas Basketball Club.
Emma Marmion (Vice-President) – Prestige Business Solutions
Emma Marmion is a Director of Prestige Business Solutions, a HR and Training Consultancy located in Newry and Dundalk. Emma and fellow Director Lorraine Rooney established Prestige in 2007. Emma is also the Vice Chair of Women’s Aid Armagh Down.
Michael McKeown (Past President) – Matt D’Arcy & Co Ltd
Michael McKeown is Founder and Managing Director of CRASH Services. Michael set up CRASH in Newry in 1996. Prior to this he worked for over 20 years at the leading edge of the Insurance industry. Michael is also current Director of Matt D’Arcy & Co. Ltd and Past President of Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade (2016/2017).
Aidan Malone (Treasurer) – Malone Lynchehaun Chartered Accountants
Aidan Malone is a Chartered Accountant and is current Manager of Malone Lynchehaun Chartered Accountants. Prior to this, Aidan was a part time lecturer in the University of Ulster, Jordanstown where he lectured the taxation module of the accountancy degree.
Barry Magill – Magill Financial Services
Barry Magill is a financial adviser, providing wealth management advice to clients both locally and nationally. Currently Director of Magill Financial Services, Barry has been working in the Financial Services Industry for over 9 years. Barry is heavily involved in the Newry & Mourne Swimming and Water Polo Club and is currently a Director of the Newry Credit Union.
Cathal Austin – The Quays
Cathal Austin graduated with a Business Degree from Jordanstown, a Masters in Management & Organisation and a Diploma in Shopping Centre Management. Cathal worked as store manager for 20 years in Dunnes Stores and is now Centre Manager of The Quays Shopping Centre. Cathal has been heavily involved in the Chamber and is a former President (2011/2012).
Dr Conor Patterson – Newry & Mourne Enterprise Agency
Conor Patterson is current Chief Executive of Newry and Mourne Co-Operative and Enterprise Agency. Between 1997 and 2003 Conor was Chairman of the Newry and Mourne Economic Forum. Conor is also a past President of Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade (2012/2013).
Gary Digney – PKF-FPM
Gary Digney is Associate Director of the PKF-FPM Corporate Recovery & Restructuring team. Gary joined PKF-FPM in 2008 as an assistant manager. Gary is a Chartered Accountant having obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2007.
Jerome Mullen – Honorary Consul of Poland
Jerome Mullen is the representative of the Polish Government in Northern Ireland. Jerome is also former chairman of The Clanrye Group. Jerome was President of Newry Chamber of Commerce from 1997 to 2000 and brought about the amalgamation of the Chamber of Commerce with the Chamber of Trade, creating a professional Chamber with a full time CEO.
Julie Gibbons – Autoline Insurance Group
Julie has been Operations Director of Autoline Insurance Group for 12 years. Prior to this Julie has worked as a Senior Operations Manager for Microsoft, a Strategy Consultant for KPMG and Supply Chain Director for high-tech start-up, Rubicon. Julie holds an LLB from Queen’s University and an MBA from University College Dublin.
Kieran Grant – Warrenpoint Harbour Authority
Kieran Grant has been Finance Director and secretary to Warrenpoint Harbour Authority (WHA) for the last 14 years. Kieran was appointed as an Executive Board Member to WHA in 2007. Prior to this, Kieran spent over 9 years in Norbrook Laboratories in various roles within the finance department.
Vincent McGovern – Trans Europe Express Ltd
Vincent has over 30 years’ experience in the freight industry, initially within sales and management roles, before establishing Trans Europe Express Ltd. Founded in 1990 and based in Warrenpoint, the privately owned Freight Forwarding company assists companies moving their goods throughout Europe and beyond and specialises in the Scandinavian and Nordic countries. Vincent is a Fellow of the Institute of Freight Professionals and is a member of the British Institute of Export.
