Who We Are
Newry Chamber is the largest business-to-business organisation in the Greater Newry Area, representing in excess of 300 local businesses of varying sizes from all sectors of the business community.
We are the leading voice for businesses in the Greater Newry Area, promoting the area as a happy, healthy place to live, work, study, shop, visit and invest.
Through the use of revenue generating programmes and events, we provide our members with business support and representation to governments at all levels, working together with a range of key stakeholders.
We are community focused, representative, agile, adaptable and responsive to our members. Raising the profile of the Greater Newry Area and its strategic location.
We are the third largest Chamber in Northern Ireland with a full-time CEO, a Board of Directors and Council consisting of locally elected business representatives, sworn in at our AGM.
The Board of Directors consist of the President, Vice-President, Immediate Past-President, CEO and eight representatives from local businesses who are members of the Chamber.
The Council is recognised as the business forum of the locality and as such, at its meetings and through the work of the Chambers’ subcommittees, it will collect, represent and promote the interests, views and opinions of our members and the wider business community.

Michael Savage
Michael was appointed as CEO of Newry Chamber in November 2023. With an extensive background in business, media and local Government, Michael brings with him a vast wealth of commercial experience, knowledge and passion for the Greater Newry Area.

Jarlath Meehan
Jarlath is a Graduate of Queens University, Belfast and he has been the Sales & Marketing Executive within the Chamber since taking up the role in February 2017.
A native of Newry, Jarlath is passionate about enhancing the profile of his local Chamber and the many ambitious, innovative and dynamic businesses our region is renowned for producing.
Jarlath is responsible for managing our social media channels, email distribution, website, co-ordinating many aspects of our events and marketing the services and products of the Chamber.

Andrea Sands
Andrea joined Newry Chamber in November 2023 and is a Graduate of Accounting Technicians Ireland with a Level 5 Diploma in Accountancy.
Andrea has gained her vast experience through working as an Accounts Manager across a wide range of industries and looks forward to her new role in the Chamber.
