Brook man’s Labour role

A Bessbrook man has been appointed as a political adviser to the shadow Northern Ireland secretary Vernon Coaker. Conor McGinn who is the son of Sinn Fein councillor Pat McGinn will advise the Labour MP on the north’s political and security matters. The 27 year old said he is delighted at his appointment. “I am looking forward to working with Mr Coaker in helping continue Labour’s commitment to peace and stability in Northern Ireland,” he added. Mr McGinn previously worked in public relations and is married to a Labour councillor.
