Newry’s children’s play centre has been named Family Visitor Attraction of the Year 2013 by NI for Kids Magazine. At the awards in Belfast City Hall, The Fun House was commended by the judging panel for the amount of online nominations it had received not only in Newry and Mourne but from all over Northern Ireland. Speaking about the accolade – which was scooped by The Fun House despite stiff competition from Tannaghmore Gardens and Pickie Fun Park in Bangor – Managing Director Brian Ennis said it sets the centre in the national spotlight. “My wife Rosemary and I and of course our four children are delighted to have achieved this recognition for the years of hard work and long hours that was put into the creation of The Fun House,” he said. “What makes The Fun House the attraction it is today is that not only is it a great facility buts its dedicated team led by my Manager Natasha Daryaie. It is their attention to detail that makes the centre so enjoyable for kids and parents too. I would also like to congratulate the team and we look forward to a busy year continuously leading the way indoor and outdoor with our new outdoor event management team.
