Warrenpoint firm Sipfit are in the running for a number of prestigious awards in the coming weeks. The Milltown based firm hit the headlines earlier this year thanks to their innovative ‘modular hotel’ project which saw a 108 bedroom hotel built in Warrenpoint before being shipped to Shetland. The hotel which is currently being pieced together on the northern Scottish island was part of a multi million pound project which has understood to have pumped some £6m into the local economy. Now the Sipfit team will be hoping to pick up a number of awards in recognition of their role in the groundbreaking project. On April 23 Sipfit is among the contenders for ‘Most Innovative Company’ in the Aer Lingus Viscount Awards in London. On April 17 they will compete for the ‘Excellence in Innovation Award’ at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards and on April 18 they are nominated for the ‘Best Business Start Up’ and ‘Innovation and Emergency Technology’ categories at the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards at Queens University Belfast.
