Industry accolade for commercial expert

Ciara Aiken Commercial Director of Best Property Services Newry has become the second employee of the company to be awarded fellowship of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Brian Clarke surveyor at Best Property Services was awarded fellowship status in 2012. The pair are one of just a few in Northern Ireland to receive fellowship and Ciara is the first woman in the region to hold the award. The RICS is the independent professional body committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence in land property construction and environment. Ciara received the prestigious award in recognition of her lengthy career with Best Property Services which has spanned two decades. Speaking following the announcement Ciara said: “I am honoured to be awarded fellowship of the RICS alongside a list of greatly distinguished fellows in the industry. I am delighted to have reached this level in the profession and consider this a major milestone. The RICS founded in 1868 by Royal Charter provides the world’s leading professional qualifications in land property construction and the associated environmental issues. Over 100,000 property professionals working in major established and emerging economies of the world have already recognised the importance of securing ICS status by becoming members. The RICS standard is seen as the benchmark of the property profession around the world and ensures that members’ advice is held in the highest regard.
