‘We help our members grow through a variety of networking opportunities.’

Making the BID

The Newry BID Team encourages all City Centre businesses to take part in the Newry BID ballot which is open until 5th November 2015.  Eligible businesses will have received BID Ballot papers enabling them to vote for a Newry Business Improvement District.   The Newry BID Team made up of key stakeholders and 20 local businesses are asking you to Vote Yes to this unmissable opportunity.  Vote Yes:

–          To over £1.8 million investment into our City over a 5 year period

–          For increased profit and footfall

–          For effective marketing strategies to promote your business and our City

–          For a strong business voice representing your business needs

–          For working in partnership with appropriate bodies to enhance and promote our City

–          For attracting further investment from public and private sector

–          For greater City attractions and events

–          To improve your trading environment for your business, your staff and your customers

The Newry BID objectives, costs and projects are outlined in our business plan which can be downloaded at www.newry.com or requested from the Newry BID office.    Many of our businesses have already declared their support for a Newry BID!

Ballymena Town was officially declared a BID in March 2015.  Other areas across Northern Ireland have been flagged as potential BIDs offering a platform to compete with other cities and towns, leverage additional funding and strengthen their position.  Newry City cannot afford to be complacent.  We must see the BID as an opportunity for growth and embrace new and innovative ways to reach our full potential as a City that is open for business!
