Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade is hosting a ‘Meet & Greet the Media’ event in conjunction with Bellini’s on this Thursday 28th February from 5.30 – 6.30pm in Bellini’s.
The goal of ‘Meet & Greet the Media’ is to enable Newry Chamber members to hear from leading media organisations on how they can interact with local media. Local media have been invited to engage with the business community to give an insight into how you approach the press through editorial and advertising to help build a mutually beneficial relationship.
There will be a media panel on the evening consisting of a group of journalists, reporters, correspondents and representatives from Newry and Northern Ireland’s most influential media outlets who provide tips on what makes a newsworthy story and what is of interest to the press.
Ms Colleen Dowdall ‘ Acting Chief Executive of Newry Chamber said ‘Meet & Greet the Media’ is a perfect opportunity for Newry members to interact with, discuss hot topics and get tips from some of the most knowledgeable members of the media. Members have told us that they are often unsure of how and when to approach the media or use media outlets. We hope this event will give local businesses an opportunity to network with media outlets in a relaxed environment. The event will commence with a short question and answer session from national media journalists followed by an opportunity to speak one to one with local media outlets from print, broadcast and online outlets.
‘Meet & Greet the Media’ will take place on Thursday 28th February from 5.30pm-6.30pm in Bellini’s. The event is Free of Charge for members and £10 to non members. We would ask people to please book by Friday 22nd February
