Newry Chamber of Commerce is hosting an online Twitter event every Tuesday from 9pm-10pm. Launched last week via @NewryChamber, #NewryHour provides local businesses with an opportunity to engage with each other; promote activities, share ideas and potentially do business. Getting involved couldn’t be simpler; all you need to do is log onto your company Twitter account, draft a tweet of up to 140 characters relating to your business or the Newry business community including the hashtag #newryhour and Tweet between 9pm and 10pm on a Tuesday night. Using the hashtag #newryhour will enable you to Follow, Retweet and Engage with other local businesses in this online community event. Over the coming weeks and months, we hope that #newryhour will take off. It has proved very popular and successful throughout the UK and Ireland as an online event promoting engagement between local businesses. Last week, one of Newry businesses used #newryhour as a platform to announce expansion plans for their business.
