We enjoyed a very enlightening morning at the Canal Court Hotel yesterday for our NI Skills Barometer Breakfast Briefing with Gareth Hetherington, Director of the Ulster University Economic Policy Centre.
Our attendees heard an update on the NI Skills Barometer report which provides a detailed understanding of the skill requirements for the Northern Ireland economy up to 2026 with the aim of ensuring that any skills gaps are identified and addressed. The research analyses where the skills gaps are currently, where they are emerging and where they are likely to emerge over the longer term.
Newry Chamber would like to thank Gareth for sharing his expertise on this topic with our members and the local business representatives in attendance.
