Newry and Mourne District Council will oversee the delivery of ‘building positive relations at a local level’ – a joint initiative with Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon and Newry and Mourne councils. The cluster of councils has been successful in securing just over £4.8m, part financed by the EU’s PEACE III programme managed by the special EU Programmes Body. The second phase consists of four priorities identified under the PEACE III Action Plan impacting upon those who participate in the programmes and in the wider community.
