Roads Service investment in district’s infrastructure

The district is to have £900,000 invested in its infrastructure Roads Service has confirmed. Welcoming the news Sinn Fein councillor Colman Burns cautioned that will the sum may seem hefty when divided throughout our district “it won’t make a huge impact. We recognize the budget constraints on our local Roads Service and know only too well the many roads that are in a terrible state of disrepair,” Mr Burns said. “This money should help in some way to address some of the more pressing issues. Sinn Fein however will continue to lobby for further funding that would help bring  our road infrastructure up to a proper and fair standard and help others to address the historic lack of investment in this district.”
