Newry Chamber hosted its Annual Golf Classic kindly supported by long-term Principal Sponsor of this event, Brown & Brown in the beautiful surroundings of Cloverhill Golf Club on Friday 21st August.
The Four-ball Stableford points format event saw some impressive scoring at Cloverhill, nestled in the rolling hills of the South Armagh countryside which was in immaculate condition.
Two of the three Brown & Brown teams in the competition took the top two spots on the day with scores of 107 and 102 points respectively with the team from Best Property Services coming in third with a total of 96 points.
The individual prizes on the day went to Vincent Boden and Paul Owens from the Brown & Brown team for ‘Nearest to the Pin’ on the 7th and 16th holes and Paul Greenan and Gary Sands from the Mourne Timber Solutions team for ‘Longest Drive’ on the 5th and 15th holes, respectively.
