A FREE MAJOR District-wide Conference aimed at tackling Newry, Mourne and Down’s Workforce Challenges will take place in Newry City on Wednesday 9th October 2024.
The October 9th Conference takes place in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry from 9am – 3:30pm and is the first of two major conferences over a 12-month period with the second District-wide Conference taking place in the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle on 8th October 2025.
Addressing recruitment and skills shortages is one of the biggest challenges facing our members and the wider business community across the entirety of the District and it is one the Chamber’s three core strategic pillars.
Along with our partners, we have pulled together an incredible line-up of experts for this major FREE District-wide full day conference which will be hosted by our MC, Broadcaster & Journalist, Mark Simpson.
We encourage all members, businesses and organisations to register to attend, if you haven’t already done so and participate in the discussion on shaping and developing a locally focused recruitment and skills strategy for the whole District for the next decade and beyond.
If you are a business owner, responsible for recruitment and HR in your organisation, an education and training provider or policymaker, we urge you to come along for what promises to be the biggest discussion around skills and recruitment to take place in Newry, Mourne and Down.
Organised by Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade in partnership with:
- NMD Labour Market Partnership (LMP) – funded by the Department for Communities
- Newry, Mourne and Down District Council (NMDDC)
- Southern Regional College (SRC)
- South Eastern Regional College (SERC)
