EVENT OVERVIEW:
Following the huge success of our first two International Men’s Day events, Newry Chamber will be marking International Men’s Day 2026 with a ‘Celebration of Men in Greater Newry – Supporting Men & Boys’ hosted by Presenter, Commentator & Award-Winning Broadcaster, Thomas Niblock and proudly supported by Duality Healthcare, PLAYR-FIT and Beaumont Club.
FIRESIDE CHATS:
The first Fireside Chat will be with Charlie Brown, Founder of Beaumont Club. Charlie is an incredible example of what determination, resilience and ambition can achieve. In 2024, after suffering a serious brain injury at the age of 21, Charlie’s outlook on life changed completely. Since then, he has completed two university degrees and built a highly successful clothing brand, Beaumont Club, where the collections sell out within hours. He is passionate about business, personal development and sharing what he has learned along the way.
Next up in the armchair will be Kieran Quinn, Co-Founder of PLAYR-FIT, which has emerged as Ireland’s fastest-growing teamwear brand. Since their launch in 2019, PLAYR-FIT has grown from humble beginnings in a small office in Culloville to completing a £2 million investment in its Newry HQ, this year. The business currently employs 31 people across the business with plans to create another 12 jobs over the next 12 months.
PANEL DISCUSSION:
We will also hear from two of the most distinguished GAA men hailing from our region in Pete McGrath, 2x All-Ireland Winning Manager with Down GAA & 5x Hogan Cup Winning Manager with St. Colman’s College and Steven McDonnell, 2002 All-Ireland Winner with Armagh GAA and 3x All-Star Winner.
There will be plenty of networking time with an opportunity for a chat and a bit of craic, live music, lite bites and a pint and all proceeds from the event will go towards PIPS Hope and Support.
