The organisers of the annual Santa Fun Run are looking your help in making this the biggest and best Santa Fun Run to date raising much needed funds for four local and very deserving charities; Autism Families, KPRT, Home Start, Irish Pilgrim Trust, PIPS Newry & Mourne, Happy Faces and Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
The Santa Fun Run is being organised in conjunction with the ‘turning on’ of the Christmas Lights in Newry, on Thursday 26 November 2015, hosted by Newry & Mourne District Council.
The hope is to get over 150 Santa’s to run down Hill Street. Each Santa will represent a local business, club, school or designated charity. Each Santa will wear their organisation’s logo or message. This is NOT a race; it is a fun run, with the emphasis on ‘FUN’. Santa’s can walk, crawl or dander over the short course.
Can you nominate a Santa from your organisation? It costs £100 to enter a business to enter a Santa into the fun run or individuals can run for one of the designated charities with a donation of £50 (sponsor cards available upon request). 100% of the funds raised through this event will go to local charities. The Santa suits are very generously sponsored by Around a Pound.
