Newry and Mourne District Council has launched a mobile application which enables local residents to use a new method to report concerns. With figures showing that a third of all adults and half of all teenagers have smart phones the council is hoping that this new pilot scheme will offer local residents the chance to use this technology to enhance how problems are reported. The ‘Report all’ phone application will enable members of the public to do their bit for the community by reporting issues such as dog fouling, littering, graffiti and street cleaning directly to the council service responsible. The app will work on any Smart Phone that uses GPS technology within the phone to geotag the exact location of the problems and also gives the ability to add a picture and notes before submitting. Once submitted the report goes directly to the council. Users will have the ability to create an account via the Report All interface which will enable them to track the progress of their report or reports can be submitted anonymously. The Report All can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
