The Deli Lites Gourmet Cafes are 20 years in business this month. In these two decades the family business has established cafes in Newry where they have three, Warrenpoint and Dundalk and most recently Belfast. Their first venture was opened in 1994 in Monaghan Street Newry. 250 staff across their six stores and wholesale division are currently employed. The business supplies a wide range of shops and businesses across Ireland with their freshly made products. The first employees were the Reel sisters, Siobhan Michelle Jackie Edel and Caroline all still manage the various aspects of the Deli Lites business today. To celebrate the anniversary and as a thank you to the local communities who support them Deli Lites have pledged to raise £20k for local charities in Northern Ireland ands Dundalk throughout their anniversary year. The chosen charities are the Children’s Cancer Fund, The Special Olympics, The Diabetic Association and Macmillan Cancer. Siobhan said: “On behalf of my sisters and all the staff I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and our staff for their continued loyalty and support as we celebrate 20 years in business. We hope that continued support from existing and new customers will help us to reach our target of £20k for charity in 2014. which for us is a very appropriate way to mark the occasion and to give something back to the local community,” she added. Deli Lites are running a number of competitions, in store events and promotions throughout the summer to celebrate this milestone. For details visit Deli Lites Facebook page.
