Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade are encouraging the local business community to support the 15th annual Newry Business Christmas Charity Dinner which is taking place on December 4 in the Canal Court Hotel. Organisers hope to break the £1m total raised for local charities over the past 15 years and over 600 guest are confirmed for this event already. Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy which will be distributed to local families through the services of St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army. The proceeds of the charity raffle will be donated to the Southern Area Hospice, PIPs Newry and Mourne, Rathore Special Needs Summer School and Newry Gateway. Cheques for the Annual Santa Run will also be presented to Headway, KBRF and Autism Mums. Tickets cost £50 + VAT and includes dinner, table wine and entertainment.
