Newry Junior Chamber has announced this year’s winners of the annual Friendly Business Awards. The awards were set up to recognise businesses “which go that extra mile and provide an outstanding customer service for their clients and for the community.” Lush, the handmade soap and natural cosmetics company that set up in the Quays last year won the Newry and Regional Multiple Retailer Award, while MacAdorey Opticians on Mill Street won the Newry Independent Retailer Award. President of the Junior Chamber Siobhan Nugent praised the high level of entries in this year’s competition. “I want to say congratulations not only to Lush and MacAdorey Opticians but to all the businesses that entered the competition.”
