The Quays is gearing up for a weekend of activities with special events planned for both St Patrick’s Day and Mother’s Day. On Saturday March 17 the Rooney O’Malley School of Dancing will kick things off with a traditional dancing display from 1-2pm. The world renowned Sands Family will then take centre stage playing traditional tunes right through until 5pm. The little ones will also want to keep an eye out for the Quays resident leprechaun who will be out an about handing out sweets and treats. On Sunday March 18 Mum becomes the centre of attention when the Quays opens a walk-in craft workshop where appreciative kids can make something special for their hardworking mammy. A photographer and kids which the children will then decorate with a host of arts and crafts trinkets. The event is free and will be open all day. Sherryl Murphy Marketing and events manager at the Quays said it promised to be an eventful weekend. “We are very excited about what promised to be a bumper weekend of music dance and culture and fun filled activities for all our shoppers,” she said. ” With two very important dates arriving so close together we not only guarantee a great shopping environment at the Quays but lots of family fun.
