Formed in 1999 by founding member Brian McCullagh, the business became a partnership when Jarlath Farrell joined as a partner in April 2011.
It incorporated into a limited company, BMC Accountants Ltd in March 2015 and moved to new state-of-the-art premises at Commercial House, 15 Merchants Quay, Newry on completion of a refurbishment of 200-year-old building in June 2020.
They are a provider of audit, accounting, taxation and consultancy services to both UK and Ireland and are registered tax agents on both sides of the border. Clients from a range of industries including professional services, medical, construction, farming, retail and wholesale.
More recently, they have moved into the area of claiming Research & Developments Grants from Invest NI, HMRC and Revenue Commissioners.
They are a registered training firm with Chartered Accountants Ireland and Southern Regional College and annually take on new Apprenticeships through the SRC Apprenticeship Scheme.
BMC Accountants Ltd currently employ 13 people including 4 fully-qualified Chartered Accountants, 3 Trainee Chartered Accountants and 4 SRC Apprentices.
