Established in 2005, Kinecx Energy (previously firmus energy networks) was awarded a licence to develop a new natural gas network outside Greater Belfast.
Since then, they have expanded to serve over 71,000 customers across Northern Ireland, with their network spanning more than 2,200km of pipeline across their ‘Ten Towns’ network area.
Their state-of-the-art polyethylene network is one of the most modern in Europe and is already prepared for the renewable gases of the future, including biomethane and hydrogen.
This enables Kinecx Energy to play a key role in Northern Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon economy while continuing to deliver reliable, efficient energy to homes and businesses.
