- Ethan Patterson, Longest Drive, 18th Hole
Michael Savage, CEO of Newry Chamber commented:
“It was a great day and Cloverhill was in superb condition and the weather was kind to us. Of course to win the event was an added bonus and while it was a team effort, a lot of our success was down to the impeccable golf of John Dunne who is a real talent.”
“Our event has always been supported by the local business community and the Chamber would like to thank this year’s Main Sponsor, Digney Grant, all the local businesses who sponsored a hole and S&W Wholesale for sponsoring the goody bags for their generous support.”
“I would also like to thank The European Tour for Tickets to the Irish Open and to Ardglass Golf Club, Armagh Golf Club, Cloverhill Golf Club and Kilkeel Golf Club who sponsored Fourballs and the Canal Court Hotel, JV Kelly Menswear, Louis Boyd Menswear and Buttercrane Shopping Center for sponsoring the charity and individual prizes.”
“Special thanks to Colin, Joe and Brigid Pilkington at Cloverhill Golf Club for their superb food, hospitality, warm welcome and kind assistance with every aspect of the competition throughout the day.”
“Cloverhill is a magnificent course in a breathtaking location and it was a privilege to be part of a great day in the heart of South Armagh. We are all looking forward to returning again next year and would encourage all local businesses to come along and enjoy a great day’s craic.”
