“We are delighted to be sponsoring Newry Chamber’s International Women’s Day event at Killeavy Castle. This year Fisher & Fisher Solicitors celebrates 125 years working in the local Newry, Mourne and Down community. We will shortly be launching a year of celebrations with our team, of which this event is an important part of.”

“We have a rich history of supporting and promoting women in the legal profession right back to Mrs Reside, a pioneer of her time, who was practising law in the firm more than 100 years ago. This year’s theme #EmbraceEquality is also close to our hearts in the legal profession. We are looking forward to attending and hope it is a successful event for all involved.”

Tracy Rice, Head of Business Engagement at SRC added:

“We are thrilled to be sponsoring this year’s International Women’s Day event with Newry Chamber, hosted at the magnificent Killeavy Castle Estate. The College is committed to promoting women in leadership and we actively encourage women to take up management positions.”

“We provide a range of supports for new managers including accredited management training and we are extremely proud that SRC’s senior executive team has an equal split of female and male directors. The College has a range of health and wellbeing resources as well as family friendly policies to support all employees, including a new menopause policy which will be launched very soon.”

“Recently, we have delivered a number of Women Returners programmes to encourage and support women back into the world of work, by providing up-to-date skills, mentoring, confidence building and motivational training.”

“We are also seeing more females applying for programmes of study that have traditionally been male dominated, including engineering, technology and construction. We are committed to targeting females in our promotional campaigns to ensure there is equality of opportunity for everyone across a range of vocational areas and industry sectors.”
