Newry mobile firm set for UK recruitment drive

A Newry telecommunications company is set to expand into the UK market by setting up base in Leeds and in the north of England. JMC Mobile one of O2’s direct business partners in Northern Ireland has taken telecommunications by storm since its inception in 1999. The Newry based telecoms and business technology provider has seen exponential growth in the year to date with a 100 per cent increase in profits – and now have their sights set firmly on expanding their reach by recruiting up to ten new staff in England. Jim Finnegan founder and Managing Director of JMC Mobile said: “At JMC Mobile we have always strived to become the best in the business when it comes to telecoms. From helping customers to find out more about their mobile handsets to assisting companies in installing broadband connections and landlines for their premises, we at JMC have consistently developed and adapted our offering in order to stay a step ahead in the market. Now by recruiting 10 new staff in the UK we want to mirror our current business model and continue our success across the Irish Sea. Everyone is excited about the prospect of working with more  clients in the UK. And we are looking forward to welcoming on board the new members of our team.” With 34 staff based in both Newry and Dunmurry JMC Mobile already see 50 per cent of its business coming from other parts of the UK and have embraced the opportunity to expand across the water. The firm will be recruiting sales professionals as well as Business Acquisition managers to cover the north of England as they aim to bolster their wide ranging business offering and further their reach in the lucrative telecoms market in the UK. This year recruitment and retention of staff has been a priority for JMC. In January 2013 the company picked up the much coveted Investors in People accreditation in recognition of the organisation’s commitment to best practice and creating a positive working environment for its employees.
