Newry’s Big Heart

Newry people have a big heart – that’s been confirmed by the recent charity initiative from Buttercrane which donated 50p for every bouquet sold over Valentine’s Day to their annual nominated Charity – the Michaela Foundation.

Michaela Foundation received a cheque this week of £500 as part the Buttercrane promotion with M&S Flowers.

Michaela Foundation Chief Executive, John McAreavey said: “I am delighted that loyal customers of Buttercrane have raised £500 for the Foundation and I would like to thank Buttercrane and their customers who chose M&S for their flowers for their generosity.”

Michaela Foundation was chosen as the centre’s nominated charity in January following an application process and the partnership will see Michaela Foundation Volunteers support a number of events for children and young people throughout the year.
