Road Maintenance

A total of £21,265,000 was spent on the structural maintenance of Newry and Mourne’s roads between 2006 and 2011. Figures released in the Assembly show £380,314,000 was spent during the period across Northern Ireland on structural maintenance, which includes resurfacing, surface dressing and structural drainage. As such the local spend is much greater that the NI average of £14,627,461. The highest spend was in Belfast (£27,151,000) next perhaps surprisingly was Fermanagh (£25,558,000) followed by Newry and Mourne.
