A Newry based manufacturing and supply firm has secured more than £30,000 growth in the south over the last six months with support from Invest NI. Ashtreee Showjumps which makes and supplies mobile equestrian equipment and cross country fences to riding clubs and hunt clubs and trade outlets throughout the UK and Ireland was recently established by experienced joiner and equine enthusiast Seamus Taggart after he spotted a gap in the market for his portable products. Its success in the south follows a £36,000 investment by the company – £14,000 of which was contributed by Invest NI – aimed at growing sales in tinvesthe republic’s key market. As part of the overall investment and marketing strategy the firm is developing new promotional materials, exhibiting at trade shows and undertaking market development visits all of which has garnered a positive response and secured sales. Such is the anticipated growth in business that Ashtree Showjumps now plans on creating two full time production posts over the next three years. Thanking Invest NI for its support Mr Taggart said the company intends building on its success and exploring opportunities in both new and existing markets.
