A Newry finance firm has been named the best financial planning practice in both Northern Ireland and Scotland. Navigator Financial Planning scored highly in all areas assessed in the Citywire Awards for UK-based financial advisors. David Crozier, managing director at Navigator Financial Planning said: “We are thrilled to be awarded this accolade. This is particularly so given that a number of firms whom we would regard as absolutely top-notch were on the short list and indeed were previous winners of the award. We feel very well rewarded for putting the effort in to make sure that our clients get a service that they tell us is excellent, including best financial planning and a top quality investment experience. It is of primary importance to us that we get these things right for our clients but it is also nice to be recognized for it within our own profession.” The firm was accredited with particular excellence in qualifications since Navigator was one of the inaugural Accredited Financial Planning Firms when the designation was launched in 2011 and all its advisors are Certified Financial Planners. Client communication was another key factor because of their programme of regular client reviews, blogs and use of social media. It is the first time the award has come to Northern Ireland. The firm has two specialities; advising entrepreneurs and owner managers of small and medium sized businesses ; and helping clients and families who have suffered catastrophic personnel injuries or medical negligence to get their lives back.
