Acquaint Care Ltd is a Nursing and domiciliary care provider which is specifically dedicated to providing quality community care and re-ablement to service users and their families in the comfort of their own home, and specialist nursing care and support within the Heatlhcare Sector.
The services offered by Acquaint Care staff range from companionship and housekeeping for families where little or no care intervention is required, right through to a full spectrum of services which include the provision of a full care package. The services are delivered by highly trained and skilled Nursing and Healthcare staff and also where required, allied health professionals which include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists and others.

We meet every client at home, and sometimes in hospital prior to discharge, to assess and decide together – and with the family when appropriate – the level of care services that are required. For services users peace of mind, and in accordance with HSSPS Domiciliary Care Minimum Standards, management complete a risk assessment to ensure we deliver care safely and effectively. We are registered and approved also fully regulated by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Service (RQIA) and comply with all Department of Health guidelines and best practice”
Acquaint Care Personal Care, Practical Support and Re-Ablement services are available to a range of service users which include:-

Convalescence Care: Rehabilitation or convalescence following a hospital stay

Elderly Care: Support following illness or live in or long-term companionship

Palliative Care: Ensuring individuals are able to live their final days at home with dignity, surrounded by family and friends

Care for Children: Specialist support for babies and young children with Physical and/or learning disabilities

Care for Adults with physical and/or learning disabilities

Care and follow up support for Individuals with Mental Health Problems
Acquaint Care Ltd provides this vital support service, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week co ordinated from their head office in Newry.
As Mary further explains “through our sister company Health Matters (Health & Safety) Ltd Newry we are able to ensure all Acquaint Care staff are trained to a high level in all specialist areas which include Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Dementia Care, Paediatrics and Care of Older Persons. This she believes in addition to effectively communicating with the individuals and their families is the key to a high quality service.”
Acquaint Care Ltd caters for both HealthTrust referrals also Private family and individual referrals for all the Care Services.
