County Down man Kevin McGivern met with Minister Arlene Foster to explain how a job with First Derivatives plc has opened up a world of opportunity. Newry based First Derivatives is a leading provider of software and consulting services to global investment banks, brokers, hedge funds and exchanges. The Minister met Kevin in Singapore wher he is working on the establishment and development of a regional hub for the company’s expansion in Asia. “Clearly Kevin’s decision to join First Derivatives has given him the opportunity to further his career development on the international stage,” said the Minister. The company has impressive plans for expansion in Asia and I welcome its commitment to giving graduates like Kevin the chance to be involved right at the heart of this exciting new chapter.” Since establishing First Derivatives in Singapore the company has worked to create strong links with the universities there. This has culminated in collaboration with Singapore Management University (SMU)which will give students of SMU’s Financial IT Academy access to FD’s innovative Delta Stream technology.
