The Southern Trust is hoping to welcome members of the public to a conference later this year to discuss the changing face of healthcare in the area. The Conference – Transforming Your Care: One Person at a Time – is aimed at everyone in the Southern Trust area who would like to share or hear how people’s experiences have been enhanced by the changing face of healthcare in the area particularly through Transforming your Care. Service users and carers will have the chance to showcase how Transforming Your Care has a direct impact on them and the care they receive and how to talk about the changes they have seen in the past number of years. “We recognize that although many services are already transformed we are continuously striving to change our care and services for the better with the patient/ client experience always at the heart of what we do,” said Trust Chair Roberta Brownlee. “This conference will be an opportunity for us to reflect upon how the changes we are continuously making are affecting the people in our local area and to find out what is working well and what could be done better.” The conference takes place on Thursday October 2 in Seagoe Parish Centre Portadown. All members of the public are welcome to attend the conference and should email Jennifer.Comac@southerntrust.hscni.net before September 12 for more information and to register their interest in attending.
