Despite the economic climate The Quays Shopping Centre is still attracting well known names. MEXX Clothing has just launched a new store following the recent arrivals of H&M and Gasp Boutique at the shopping centre. The female fashion store will create several new jobs at the centre which already employs 1500 people on site. Jane Houston from MEXX said: “We are delighted to have opened our new store at The Quays in Newry this morning. For The Quays is the perfect fit for us in terms of location, demographic and profile. We really hope MEXX with its emphasis on quality well-fitting garments which are both practical and fun will add to the already diverse range of stores and the fantastic shopping experience at The Quays.” Cathal Austin centre manager at The Quays added: “We would like to welcome MEXX to The Quays and wish them every success in trading in the centre. It is very important and such as MEXX to the centre to give customers choice, value and quality.”
