Book your tickets for the 24th installment of the Newry Business Charity Christmas Dinner & Famous Toy Mountain which has raised some £1.85 million over the last 23 years.
Last year’s event was an overwhelming success which raised raising a staggering total of £125,000. The organising committee are working feverishly in the background to ensure that, as in every other year, no child in the Greater Newry Area will go without a toy this Christmas.
The event this year will take place on Wednesday 6th December in the Canal Court Hotel & Spa, with proceedings kicking off at 6pm. It is typically attended by some 600 people each year, with each guest asked to bring a toy or make a donation to the Toy Mountain.
From the initial concept when first launched, to this the 24th year, this event above all, is about families and children at Christmas.
This year will be a particularly difficult year for so many families, so the local business community is being asked to come out and support the event as much as they possibly can.
This has always been a community-wide effort in support of the Southern Area Hospice, St Vincent de Paul Society, The Salvation Army and many other local charities in the area, at a time when needs are most acute.
But we know that the business and wider community stand ready to rise to the call, despite the challenges that we face in the current economic climate.
Tickets for the Newry Business Christmas Charity Dinner are priced at £65.00 each with a table of 10 priced at £600.00.
