Newry Chamber Appoints New Chief Executive

Mary Meehan was appointed Chief Executive of Newry Chamber of Commerce & Trade in June 2016

As Chief Executive, Mary will be responsible for driving the future growth and strategy development of the organisation as it seeks to promote the competitiveness of business in the Greater Newry region, represent the interests of its members, and facilitate the development of the Chamber. 

Prior to joining Newry Chamber of Commerce, Mary held positions as Regional Manager in the Americas Trade Team in Invest NI, and Manager of International Trade Services in Chambers Ireland.  Mary has also worked in Economic Development covering maternity leave in Lisburn City Council and has worked on several EU funded programmes aimed at promoting SME competitiveness and development. 

Mary holds a MBA and a BA Hons in International Business Communication both from the University of Ulster and is a fluent French and Spanish speaker.
