Newry Chamber of Commerce would like to encourage local businesses to get involved with the Small Size, Big Festival taking place in venues throughout Newry from the 6th-9th February.
Over 300 delegates and VIPs from across the European Union will be staying in Newry for the duration of the festival. This festival brings with it €1m of external investment into the Newry economy.
There are planned activities, meetings and excursions organised for the visitors during their stay as part of the festival programme.
However, there will be ‘down time’ in which local businesses, retailers, restaurateurs, night-time economy and service sector organisations should avail of potential business opportunities that the visitors can bring to Newry and the surrounding area.
Festival organisers, Sticky Fingers Early Years Children’s Arts will be providing delegate packs for the visitors; local businesses are invited to include flyers promoting special offers, vouchers or other incentives into the packs for delegates to avail of. Sticky Fingers will also provide posters and Point of Sale PR material for local businesses to use during the festival to encourage festival goers into their premises.
This festival provides a great opportunity for local businesses to avail of potential increased footfall through their doors at a traditionally quiet time of year.
