Local businesses encouraged to enter business awards 2012

Businesses in Armagh, Craigavon, Banbridge and Newry and Mourne Council areas are being encouraged to demonstrate that they are the best in the class by entering the annual local business awards. The SEED consortium of Councils (Armagh, Banbridge, Craiagvon and Newry and Mourne have launched their Annual Business Awards to help reward and recognise the most innovative and successful businesses across the Council. Commenting on the Business Awards Elaine McAlinden Enterprise Development Officer at Banbridge District Council says, “This is the second year of the SEED business awards which are targeted at the local business community to recognise their efforts in the current economic climate. The application process is user friendly and we would encourage all local businesses to participate. These business awards form a key part of our support to local businesses as part of the SEED Promoting Sustainable Enterprise and the awards will be presented at the Get Up and Grow Business Conference on June 13 which is taking place at the Canal Court Hotel in Newry.” Commenting on the awards Simon Devlin from organisers Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd explained: “This award competition is aimed at local businesses in the four council areas and is a great opportunity for local businesses to highlight their achievements and secure some great publicity.” The categories are:

  • Banbridge Business Champion
  • Craigavon Business Champion
  • Newry and Mourne Business Champion
  • SEED Regional Female Business Champion
  • SEED Regional Entrepreneur
  • SEED regional Export Champion
  • SEED Regional Innovation Champion
